Guy Kemp is a longtime radio-personality and the current host of “Computer Daze,” a radio show about computers, technology, and the changing world we live in. In the business since 1978, Guy Kemp continues to inform and amuse his listeners while balancing his work with his personal and community life.Guy Kemp got his start in radio in 1978, when he worked as an overnight DJ for San Antonio radio station KONO. Before long, he moved to Los Angeles, where he continued to work at various radio stations for several years. He acquired a reputation as a notoriously brash host along the lines of Howard Stern, but Kemp offset his incendiary radio persona by staying involved with community causes. He was the first shock jock in the United States to march for AIDS awareness and research. He also helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to help St. Jude Children's Hospital.Guy Kemp eventually became a partial owner of KCNA radio, a southern Oregon station, and by 1993 he had moved to Florida to work for WTKS in Orlando, as well as a sister show called “Guy Live” on the local CBS affiliate station. Not long afterward, Kemp moved into his current position as the host of the long-running “Computer Daze” radio show. Over the years, he has appeared on television shows including The Late Show with Johnny Carson, Larry King Live, and others. He has made appearances in several movies as well, including The Addams Family and The Jazz Singer.These days, aside from his radio work, Guy Kemp stays busy by coaching a Little League team. He is a military veteran of the Vietnam War era and dedicates much of his time volunteering to assist homeless veterans. His other volunteer activities include donating to food pantries and giving time to help raise money for muscular dystrophy research. In 2004, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by becoming the owner of his own hot dog stand. Guy Kemp currently resides in his native California.
