As the Non-Technical Project Manager for the Durham Flood Risk project, I provide project management services focusing on logistic organization to a multi-partnered project.

Serving as the Projects Coordinator includes providing administrative support, guidance for the national network and a resource to help build the capacity for the 18 UNESCO biosphere reserves in Canada.

As the Coordinator, I coordinate all meeting logistics and material preparation for the Collaborative's Leadership Team as well as the Technical and Outreach Subcommittees. I am also responsible for coordinating a knowledge sharing event for municipal and conservation authorities partners in March 2018.The Collaborative will be the leading voice with respect to adaptation programs and projects supporting the resiliency of the natural environment within Durham Region. The purpose of the NECCC Leadership Team is to focus on providing guidance, directing work plans, and committing human resources from their organizations to assist the Collaborative.

Working with Fraser Smith of Sustainable Forestry Management Services, I am the project manager and client liaison for the Long Point Region Conservation Authority Forest Management Plan project.

As the project manager, I work on managing partnership projects, working on SFMS operational efficiencies and new project development.

This project included reviewing the existing work plan, evaluating the work plan based on implementing the mandate of the biosphere reserve and prioritizing the entire work plan into high, medium and low priority projects. The analysis also identified projects that could be transferred into partner or board member ownership and those projects which could be cost-recovery.

While working with the CBRA, I have worked on the Pathway to Target 1 (Aichi Target 11), graphic design using Canva, creating the Annual Report, fundraising, capacity development and more. The biosphere reserves are unique conservation leaders who work on biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, and reconciliation.

This role used my project management skills and one-on-one relationship building both with our clientele (municipalities, conservation authorities, and land trusts) but also with landowners and stakeholders including planners, real estate/parks and recreation managers and conservation areas staff.As a Project Manager at Orland Conservation, I coordinated projects with City of Vaughan, Conservation Halton, Credit Valley Conservation Authority, Essex Region Conservation Authority, Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, Niagara Escarpment Parks and Open Space System Council, Northumberland Land Trust, Ontario Land Trust Alliance, Region of Peel, Toronto Region Conservation Authority and more. I have presented my work and expertise at several OLTA webinars and the AD Latornell Symposium.In this role, I focus on conservation land acquisition projects. This includes:- developed strategies to identify high priority areas for conservation land (ie. parks, conservation areas, nature reserves, linkage corridors) and trail networks; - GIS (computerized mapping) to identify specific properties for conservation land acquisition and individual property feature mapping;- implemented those strategies through landowner contact (mailouts, phone calls, follow up and site visits) and community outreach (workshops, events);- worked with individual landowners throughout the negotiations from start to finish; and- worked with multiple partners to coordinate landowner outreach efforts;- prepared quotes, budgets, and timelines; - prepared and scheduled the social media posts; - investigated ways to promote the company through conference presentations and networking.

This role included evaluating the potential for establishing the Backyard Bounty (urban farming social enterprise) model in other municipalities.

Managed a national school education program pairing Olympic atheletes with school classes to discuss active transportation and climate change.

Initiated the development of a watershed stewardship program for the Maskinonge subwatershed (Lake Simcoe watershed).

Coordinated over 30 stewardship, securement and municipal stakeholders over 5 project areas in a large scale landowner outreach project focused on: raising general awareness about the Oak Ridges Moraine, increasing its natural cover and protecting its important water resources
