I have been in the insurance industry for 31 yrs now and I am still a work in progress. The industry is challenging and constantly changing therefore no room for boredom. I was a captive agent with Kentucky Farm Bureau for the first half of my career and realized I was limited to what all I could do for my customers. I then founded Lakeland Insurance Group and grew it to four locations in South Central Ky.Our focus is medium sized to larger commercial and fully rounded out personal lines accounts. We represent over 100 carriers to provide a good cross section of products and pricing for our customer base. We want our customers to be educated in order for them to make a good choice when it comes to coverage they need, not just sell a cheap price.I partnered with Houchens Insurance Group in 2012 and we have been on a growth direction from that point. We now have four locations to service the needs of our customer base.We have a valued relationship with Houchens Insurance Group.To be associated with the 26th largest Insurance Agency in The United States is a fantastic position to be in. It has opened up so many markets for all of our associates. We are also part of the largest ESOP in the United States as well. This offers great opportunity to our employees .
