Title: Graphics Coordinator 12/05 - 8/10I was instrumental in starting the “Graphics Coordinator” department. This group receives and controls all graphic files until the point of an approved one up proof. It was my function to ensure that the printability, cutting and finishing needs were met from a technical view for all three plants. With this knowledge level the department is now the technical hub for Malnove Incorporated for the production of cartons.Title: 3rd Shift Quality Team Leader 12/04 - 12/05I oversaw the quality for the third shift offset, gravure, die cutting, finishing and sheeting departments. It was my responsibility to decide if product was an acceptable quality and release the project or isolate and reject product. I was also the plant AIB (American Institute of Bakers) inspector to ensure that we produced product in a food clean environment. The last part of my duties was that of the safety officer for the employees on third shift.

I was responsible for the daily production of second shift. My responsibilities included, delivery to the US Post Office to meet the in home dates of customers mailings. Supervised three employees who operated two video jets, envelope inserter, cutting and folding equipment. I also operated and maintained a video jet with a tabber attachment. While working at GP Direct I was also the back up envelope press operator.

I handled and was accountable for all phases of production for the Executive Vice President of Marketing and another top sales person with a total dollar volume of 10 million and processed an average of 7.25 new projects a week. My achievements are multiple awards for excellence in printing and the “Bennie” award for “Best of the Best Eight Colors or more” in the state, country, content and then world for the year 2001. My efforts awarded us a second “Bennie” for the state, country and content for the year 2000.

Responsible for estimating printing and bindery only projects. Scheduled workflow and employees. I was also responsible for customer service for two sales representatives and all bindery only accounts. I wrote imposition and estimating programs, computerized job tickets and stream lined the production paper work flow for the front office.

Responsible for coordinating projects through the plant in a timely and productive manner. I was also accountable for a 30% profit margin on bindery and prepress buyouts for the accounts that I controlled. I also finalized and approved all the paper work for billing.

Serving as a production planner I was responsible for layouts, pre-press schedules, customer supplied materials inventory and verifying the integrity of job tickets for production. I engineered for 18 web folders, 5 saddle stitchers and two perfect binders with in-line ink jetting. I also continued to bill additional pre-press cost.Served as a cost accountant for pre-press, bindery and shipping departments where I tracked sales vs. labor on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. I also continued to bill additional pre-press cost.I also formed a billing auditor department to verify that all production information was proper and correct prior to billing. As a result the invoicing cycle went from sixteen days to four days after shipping.My responsibilities also included all pre-press additional charges. I would bill, track and insure the integrity of all charges. I also verified the integrity of the pre-press costing report on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. Any disputes of additional charges I had the authority to negotiate and create custom pricing for larger accounts.
