My role at AECOM requires me to act as a civil lead for both the design and construction phases of projects. As a Design Lead I am responsible for:• Working with clients to develop the project brief, budget and program that matches their vision.• Scoping the design components of a project and coordinating their delivery• Managing and status reporting on program, budget and consultant performance• Managing authority and stakeholder liaison• Identifying opportunities, constraints and developing solutions for complex regulatory and physical challenges.• detailed design and documentation of roads, earthworks, drainage, water and sewer infrastructure.During Construction I am responsible for preparation of the contract documents, tendering, reporting on program, budget and quality to the client, resolution of certify progress claims, resolve contract disputes, manage the handover of the works on completion and generally ensuring that all the contract requirements are complied with.

Company changed from McWilliam & Partners through Qantec McWilliam to Opus over my 23 years with the Company. My role changed over that period from Civil Engineer to Civil Team Manager and Company Director to Regional Operations Manager. I have experience managing a company, running branch offices as relief manager, managing a team of 30 engineers and designers involved in detailed design and construction management across a wide variety of civil engineering projects. Been lucky to work with some really talented project managers, architects and engineers across a wide variety of industry sector developments including land subdivision, residential units, aged care, health education, commercial and industrial projects.
