Involves many internal and external meetings with the Cities, Regions, Transit, and there Consultants to discuss their projects and the conflicts they have with Bell. During these meetings I would need to look at ways to resolve the conflict in a timely and cost effective way plus consider any of Bell future requirements. Look after any of Bells structures requirements to build new, over build, fix claims and manhole rebuilds. Responsible to keep the Bell team and external customer informed of projects and there costs and get any budget variances approved before billing. During the life span of a structures job there are many stages to be oversee; scope, design, permits, budget, tender, construction, final billing just to name a few. In this role I’m managing 120+ structures networks varying in size and project type with a approx value of between 15 & 20 million dollars.Plus I have 5 PMO associates and 1 contractor reporting to me tracking and manage in SAP all structures jobs in Ontario working with the Structures Managers. We work with field services to communicate 9911 structures issues to the NP team and build the top 20 manhole report each year. I have meetings with our design contractor to improve our design quality, timelines and contract inspection in the field. This team looks after approx 350 networks from beginning to end with an approx value of 60 million dollars.

My assignment for the Olympics started as an Assistant Venue Telecom Manager that was quickly expanded to a Cable Designer then I was promoted to a Venue Telecom Manager which is a Tier C position. In my role as a cable designer I was responsible for the design and implantation of three Olympic Venues. This involved having meetings with all the users to gather there requirement so I can design the copper, fiber and CATV network and data closet locations for voice, data, video, audio, timing and scoring, security and any special requirements. As the Venue Telecom Manager for Creekside that was the Olympic Downhill Skiing Venue. I had technicians, contractors and volunteers reporting to me and we where responsible for the installation and maintenance of all telecom services for the Venue. We supported and maintained the following products, data switches, VOIP sets, Wireless, Analog services, CATV, cell phones and 650 two way radios.

Managed 25 Bell Canada PBX technicians to assure all install and repair work was done plus attended customer meetings. Was responsible for daily communications with my team keeping them updated on Company and Customer information. Plus needed to make sure that all customer orders where completed on time and clear any roadblocks for my guys. Also responsible to hold monthly crew meetings and do safety updates and training.

In my role I was responsible for the projects from order to cash, and on most projects I acted as the sales person, estimator, supervisor of my contractors & PM.Some of the projects I was responsible for where:-New building at York University 1.2 million dollar project-Re-cabling many of the Ontario Government buildings over 2 million dollar project.-Many of The Brick locations plus their main Distribution Centre 200K project.Just to name a few.

Also was a DTOS technician to manage and be responsible for all of my customers (Sun life of Canada) telecom needs. From moving one telephone set to working on a projects. One project was to install and cut over their entire head office to a new phone system, cost on this project was $600,000.
