Manage office relationships with other Executive and Legislative offices. Staff the Lieutenant Governor in his role as President of the Senate and Chair of the Senate Rules Committee, meeting with legislators and/or their staff, lobbyists and other stakeholder groups. Handle the appointment process for various work groups, task forces, and voter pamphlet statements. Serve as the lieutenant governor's chief policy advisor, drafting bills and committee testimony as necessary.
