Roles• Design, development and implementation of an intranet system using 4D Relational Database Management System covering Sales Order Processing, Purchases Order Processing, Stock Control and Logistics.• Training 30+ users on the newly implemented software.• Training of Sage 50 to all accounting staff.Achievements • Implementation of a 30+ user system which replaced a manual system of some 80,000 excel spreadsheets, thus eliminating inter-department data redundancy. • Emailing of strategic reports to department managers and staff overnight. These reports were dynamically build by 4D statements into Excel workbooks, including multiple worksheets, filtering, lookups and conditional formatting.• Immediate emailing of data changes to all appropriate staff, allowing key staff to react to key changes in purchasing and logistics data.

Roles• Design, development, installation and training of bespoke modules for Sage Line 100 Accounting System covering Product Numbers, Sales Order Processing and Stock/Bonded Warehouse Control.• Rebuild of corrupted Sage Line 100 Purchase Ledger• Redesign of Sage Line 100 Purchase Ledger to cater for the Euro and other foreign currencies.Achievements • Design of a coding system for the wines and spirits that the company bought and sold. The coding system included mnemonics for type, vintage, cru, vineyard, supplier, country, batch, bottle and case size. Each employee could identify a wine directly from its code. This code was later used in Sage Line 100 Accounting system in areas such as Stock Control and Order Processing. • Rebuild of the Purchase Ledger data that included multiple incorrect postings, such as duplicated purchase orders and invoices, multiple currencies posted to same account, purchase orders posted as purchase invoices, bank transactions paid in different currencies to posted currencies. The project took four months to complete.• Redesign of the Purchase Ledger functionality to allow multi-currency transactions against single orders or invoices.
