The CCDD permitted site is adjacent to the Big Rock Creek, and includes an underpass for State Rt. 34, for safe pedestrian access to an existing city park and baseball field. Our plan will improve the property over and above the highly erodible steep slopes Mother Nature left before the gravel pit started in 1965.

My responsibilities included the general maintenance and repair of the major tributary sewer collection systems from North Aurora, Aurora, Montgomery, Sugar Grove, Oswego, and part of Yorkville and Batavia, to the treatment plant at Oswego, IL. This system included 11 major liftstation's, an indoor combined sewer overflow facility, bar screens, and all collection systems within the unincorporated areas of Aurora and Oswego Townships. I was responsible for televising all new collection pipe installation, repairs, and final approval. All new sanitary sewer connections were inspected by a licensed plumber in our Department. I was responsible for enforcement of the sewer use ordinance rewritten, revised and updated by me in 2006. Our staff included an Field Ops. Assistant, licensed inspector, and 7 field maintenance workers, who, including myself, were all on a 24/7 "on call" emergency schedule..
