I manage the day to day activities of a Integrity team comprising professional consultants and engineersThe team delivers integrity solutions for Oil and Gas Operators both onshore and offshore in the Middle East. A key roles is the development of integrity and assurance management systems for high pressure gas pipelines and their above ground gas processing, control and safety systems.

Employed by Petrofac (PAM) as a Senior Integrity and Maintenance Consultant to consult with Clients to resolve Integrity and maintenance issues in the oil and gas industry both offshore and onshore. A key role was the development of maintenance and integrity strategies, methodology and processes for delivering a quality product.

Responsible for the development of the Gas Asset Maintenance and Integrity Management System for EON UK high pressure pipelines (MAHP) and above ground gas assets (AGI) Key responsiblities included:-1) Implement a through-life investment strategy for the gas assets that foresees and quantifies the risk and opportunities across the portfolio by evaluating technical, commercial, legal and SHE issues and risks.2) Develop and continually develop a fleet wide gas safety management system to ensure the assets are operated safely, within their design and operating parameters. 3) Development a competencies assessment process to ensure people involved in gas safety, operational and maintenance tasks are assessed and competent to undertake the work.4) Develop and continually review a fleet wide gas asset maintenance and integrity strategy that leads to an effective risk based management approach5) Develop fleet wide Major Accident Prevention Documents, Safety Cases, governance documents, procedures and approaches to demonstrate to the authority’s compliances with current legislation

Responsible for the integration of E-ON UK new projects which included a new salt-cavern gas storage facility near Holford, Cheshire, the Grain CHP Pipeline and the proposed new Drakelow Pipeline. Key responsibilities include:- 1) Review and approval of the concept, detailed design, installation and commissioning of gas asset projects which included:- high pressure gas pipelines, process equipment, metering system, DCS, safety systems, pressure reduction, gas heating, cathodic protection. etc.2) To ensure that industry best practices and EON lessons learned ware incorporated in project new builds

Kinetica was formed in 1990 as a joint venture between Powergen plc. and Conoco. In April 1997 Kinetica became a wholly own subsidiary of Powergen Plc. Responsible for ensuring that natural gas was safely and reliably transported through Theddlethorpe to Killingholme and the Blyborough to Cottam high-pressure gas pipelines.Responsibilities as the Pipeline Engineer and later O & M Manager include: -1) A major role has involved the development and implementation of (Kinetica's) now EON’s ‘Gas Safety Management System’ (9001) and Environmental System (14001). 2) Management of the maintenance and inspection contract of two high pressure gas pipeline and associated above ground installations within a budget of 2.2 million 3) Development of Kinetica’s pipeline and gas asset maintenance strategy. By continued monitor and review moved towards a risk based approach always ensuring the work is carried out safely and in a cost effective manner.

Employed as a Senior System Engineer to technically support the DCS INFI 90 process control system. This involved responding to DCS fault and issues in the UK and Europe and system commissioning and upgrades.

This was a hands-on-role that included the management of a multinational commissioning team to turn over to the Royal Saudi Air force the new military facility called 'Peace Shield' I successfully delivered 28 radar sites and 6 underground command centers located across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I developed commissioning and tests procedures to confirm the sites operated as designed.and following preliminary site equipment checks I was esponsible for coordinating the site closeout preparation to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF). This included coordinating all demonstrations and simulations for the RSAF and USAF during the pre-final and final inspections. A key role was the testing and commissioning of HV and LV switchgear and breakers, electrical diesel generations, electrical lighting, water conditioning equipment, water main and firefighting equipment, HVAC and UPS equipment, electrical and instrumentation radar equipment, SCADA monitoring equipment and instrumentation for monitoring of site parameters, such as temperature, pressure heat and fire. Contract value £950 million plus (Jan. 95).
