Systems Engineer skilled in Signal Processing and Analysis, and the intersection of Technology and Society Issues. He supported the U.S. Technical ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) Community for over 40 years. At the MITRE Corporation, provided leadership in the development of Technical Roadmaps and Strategic R&D Plans for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI). Areas of technical focus for these efforts included Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), Underwater Acoustics, and Unattended Ground Sensors. He provided imaging systems performance analysis for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He demonstrated mastery of remote sensing image and signal analysis as applied to Synthetic Aperture Radar systems. Earlier, he worked in the Global Hawk UAV program office for DARPA. As a Naval Cryptological Officer he was assigned to the National Security Agency, contributing to development of technical intelligence systems. He also participated in Submarine Special Operations missions. In retirement, Mr. Daniel has focused on writing and speaking in the areas of Society, Religion and Technology. He hosted a monthly luncheon speaker series on these topics 1975-2020.
