I have been a tennis teaching professional for over 50 years at both the recreational and performance level as well as a Director of Tennis for most all of my teaching career.. Previous experience includes Executive Director of the Professional Tennis Registry. I was the 8th inductee into the PTR Hall of Fame joining Arthur Ashe, Billie Jean King, Dennis Van der Meer, Dr. Jim Loehr, Coach Jim Verdick and 3 others. In 2022, I became one of the first 3 Tennis Professionals inducted into the Nor Cal USPTA Hall of Fame.In 2023 I will be inducted into the Campbellsville University Hall of Fame. Other honors include 2 time PTR International Pro of the Year and 4 time USPTA Divisional Pro of the Year and the USPTA Lifetime Achievement Award.I am a Master Professional with the USPTA and an International Master Professional with the PTR. As a National Tester for the Professional Tennis Registry I help train and certify tennis teaching professionals. I enjoy being a mentor to anyone who loves the game of tennis. I am a Charter Member of the PTR and the PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry.)My playing record includes PTR Singles and Doubles national titles, 2 Gold Medals at the Huntsman World Senior Games, 2 Gold Medals in the Bay Area Senior Games, ranked in the top 5 in both the PTR and USPTA for the past 15 years in singles or doubles.I am a published writer, having co-authored the original "International Book of Drills" with Dennis Van der Meer. I have recently had my own book published, "Mastering your Tennis Game." My articles are published in TennisPro, Addvantage, RSI and Tennis Magazine, as well as many other tennis publications. I also contribute tennis tips and advice to many websites and post daily on Facebook and other networking platforms.I have released eight DVD's for tennis pros and coaches ranging from specialized drills, mental "tuffness", conditioning, movement and communication skills.
