Dr Evans is President and CEO of Indoc Systems, a company that builds platforms to help researchers manage, share and analyze complex medical research data. Indoc supports researchers from a broad range of disease states and technologies, and is builiding the Brain-CODE platform (http://www.braininstitute.ca/brain-code) on behalf of the Ontario Brain Institute. Indoc has established extensive libraries of common data standards and common data elements, secure linkage tools, as well as other best practices needed to support harmonization and open data sharing with the broader research community. Dr. Evans has been instrumental in the creation and implementation of a number of large scale international collaborative research programs, particularly in relation to the development of improved clinical assessment tools (including the Depression Inventory Development program,GRID HAMD, SIDI, and the Functional Rating Scale Development Team for pre-manifest Huntington’s Disease) Prior to taking on his role at Indoc (then OCBN), Dr Evans spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, during which time he led the global clinical development of a number of novel drugs in a variety of disease states. Dr Evans holds an Associate Professorship in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Queen's University.
