Global Brand Protection Manager

The Global Brand Protection Manager is responsible for building brand equity and protect the Company's Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) enabling sustainable parts & accessories growth. Key responsibilities are to maximize sales growth through authorized channels by minimizing sales erosion from various competing sources (counterfeit, diversion, parallel, and supplier). Implement strategies to protect the Ford brands and consumers from deliberate and unintentional abuses of Company IPR including trademarks, patents, copyrights, etc.The department launched a BP team in the AP region several years ago to complete a full compliment in each region and a global footprint. The next phase was building a centralized database not only capable of maintaining a central record but also assist with case investigations, intelligence mapping, management reporting etc. The final phase empowered multiple stakeholders worldwide to authenticate product. Brand Protection, law enforcement, business partners, and consumers can utilize smart phone technology to authenticate product, whether purchased at retail or online.
