Teaching Assistants work in close collaboration with Instructors to provide academically challenging instruction to CTD students. Teaching Assistants support student engagement and directly supervise students before class and throughout the academic day. TAs lead virtual study sessions online in the evenings.

Teaching Middle School Science as a long term substitute. Concurrent teaching model.

Long term substitute for an 8th grade science classes. 5 Sections, using Open Scied curriculum, modifying for remote learning.

Assist school administrators with budget, data analysis, instructional coaching.

Accomplishments: 1. Above average growth in both Language Arts and Mathematics as measured my the NWEA MAP assessment, 2. Outpacing growth for EL and Spanish student groups on local, state and national assessments, 3. Obtained a 14 Million dollar school facility improvement project from the Chicago Public Schools.4. Accomplishments:1. Student Achievement above the 90th percentile in Reading and Mathematics in growth and attainment as measured by the NWEA Map test.2. Developed and won a grant through the state of Illinois, resulting in a complete makeover of the school grounds, Over 8 Million in funding for improvements.3. Introduced a fine arts program including Music and Visual Arts. I am very proud of our school and have been the principal at Audubon since 2012. Audubon is a Top 100 School, meaning we perform in the top 100 of all schools in Chicago, including private and charter schools. Audubon is rated Level 1+ for high achieving performance as measured by the CPS School Quality Rating Policy. Nationally, we have been recognized by the National Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon school. Audubon Elementary is an inclusive school in the Roscoe Village community of Chicago providing a high-quality equitable education for students PK-8th grade. We strive to be an outstanding neighborhood elementary school in Chicago by creating life-long problem solvers who collaborate, adapt to and contribute to an ever-changing society. The staff is supportive and caring. The principal is always there if you have an issue and is great with the kids. The community is very involved in the school. They are always willing to fundraise for the school, for little extras the school needs. The Chinese, Computer, Science and Art/Music programs are excellent! My child is very happy at this school.
