In a previous career path I managed bakeries having a particular flair for people and process management. With progression into more senior management roles I developed an appreciation for how sensitive business is with regards to supplychain. Over time what I assumed was a predictable linear series of events to bring stock into a bakery turned out to be anything but simple. During 2020 I decided the challenge this constantly changing space represented constituted a challenge I would love to accept. I entered logistics as the Store Manager for Tilleys Group in 2020 and havn’t looked back. I enjoy the constant learning associated with controlling inventory movements through some extensive worldwide supply chains. Some of my strengths are: I am a good clear communicator, with a flair for future planning. I have experience in ordering and procurement, both direct and indirect. And also running just in time and forecast directed purchasing. I have Import and Export experience with a flair for International Commercial Terms and impact to business. Within the import space I have experience with working with Ports/Customs/MPI and equivalents both locally and internationally- a proactive problem solver with an eye for details whilst also directing the stakeholders to ensure big picture needs are met. Having managed several warehouses, local logistics is now a walk in the park. I have a knowledge of inventory control and team leadership with extensive experience in both. I think I am a well rounded Supplychain Manager and I am looking for my next opportunity to grow my knowledge, skills and contribute in a meaningful way to the company i work for and be part of the team.
