Reporting to the Project Technical Lead, the role includes:- Leading the project team, allocating tasks and priorities- Development of plans and budgets with the Programme Manager- Being primary Customer interface on technical issues- Writing and reviewing test plans and reports for design assurance, risk reduction and qualification/certification testing- Writing test waiver and similarity reports- Undertaking design assurance and qualification/certification testing to a high level to satisfy certification authorities. - Ensuring all Engineering change is progressed through a gated design assurance process.- Progressing Failure Report and Corrective Actions (FRACA) to closure- Supporting Customer interface meetings to discuss progress of technical issues

Reporting to the VP of Programmes, the role included:- Delivery and maintenance of the overall programmes for and on behalf of the Customers and to provide clear direction for a multifunctional Project Team to deliver the programme in a timely manner.- Agreeing and committing to the top level Project Management/Business Plans and subsequently developing detailed plans, budgets (> £20m) and statements of work to support the project development programme and production readiness. o Ensuring these plans, budgets and supporting purchase orders were managed and controlled by the programme managers.- Reviewing, negotiating and agreeing top level Customer specifications and translating them into an agreed set of requirements- Providing direction on design assurance and qualification test strategy, together with Waiver and Similarity report requirements- Implementing a robust risk assessment and management process across all programmes- Ensuring programme changes were managed through a structured process and to ensure plans and budgets were communicated and regular status reports maintained.- Implementing a project gated review processes for the package using RRCS procedures.- Actively ensuring areas in need of improvement were identified and then working with the process owners to support the subsequent improvement activities where appropriate. - Act as prime Programme interface between RRCS and the Customer Senior Management.- Ensuring qualification and certification strategy meet Customer and regulatory requirementso Included design assurance and risk reduction planning and testing ando Agreeing the use of similarity and waiver reports where appropriate- Authoring, reviewing and approving risk reduction, design assurance and qualification test plans and procedures
