12 month contract + ExtensionGodiva is a manufacturer of luxury chocolates and a global brand. A global transformation project was initiated in 2018 part of which was to implement Dynamics AX 2012 R3 as a global standard ERP system. This implementation was particularly complicated as it involved multiple countries, cultures, time zones, languages, and currencies. The software requirements covered a broad scope including Finance, Warehousing, Trade and Logistics, Procurement and Manufacturing and a complex integration to a stand-alone Retail solution. The first project was to put the Eastern region live. The Eastern region included 6 Legal Entities across Japan, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. I joined the project as the Global Finance Lead (reporting to the Programme Director) after the design phase had been completed and the Japanese legal entity was live on AX 2012 R3. After 3 months supporting the stabilisation of the Japanese implementation I was tasked with preparing for the implementations in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. In this role I was responsible for all Finance related design changes, processes, developments, testing and support. Having all legal entities on one system using the same Global Chart of Accounts with a shared use of the Financial Dimensions represented a significant change for the business and I was responsible for the amalgamation of the global chart of accounts and Financial Dimensions. Godiva are now successfully live on AX 2012 R3 in China and Pac-Rim.

6 Month contract + ExtensionCBRE are the Worlds leading Real Estate business who were implementing AX 2012 R3 across the group. I joined the General Accounting Tower of Project Newton which was a large-scale transformation project implementing AX2012 R3 in to multiple legal entities across the world. I was involved in the design and configuration of the Finance modules to help configure AX 2012 to maximise the functionality to fit business processes. I was involved in the design of bespoke modifications from concept discussions to producing functional design documentation, working with developers to create the modifications before testing the modification to ensure they met the business requirements. Alongside my project activities I configured and delivered an update to their already live VAT configuration that was not working as expected. I was able to configure and demonstrate how VAT should work in AX 2012 along with Reverse Charge VAT and Withholding Tax.

Technical document re-write (4 months)Avanade is a Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365 for Operations reseller formed via a joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft. Avanade were engaged in a large transformation project for an Insurance company. I was initially asked to join the project on a 3 month contract to help with the finance configuration. During that time a key finance consultant was leaving the project who was working on the bespoke design and build of an Operational Data Store (ODS) that would be key to the receipt of transactional and master data from existing front end systems in to D365O. It was requested by the Solution Architect that my focus was to shift from the standard finance configuration and validation of the current configuration to review the ODS design and to re-write the ODS design documentation. This was a huge challenge with lots of 'moving parts' as the ODS was entirely bespoke. I was able to use my past experience of interfaces, data migration and system integrations to review, update and correct the document, as it was out of date with the latest software. I delivered the revised documentation which lead to some critical changes to the global solution design.

6 Month contract + ExtensionI worked on a Housing Association project with an excellent Hitachi consulting team. My task was to deliver the Financial Reporting for a list of key Real-time reporting requirements. My scope of work consisted of validating aged requirements, updating requirements with the business SMEs, designing reports and producing the Functional Report Design Specifications. I presented the designs for sign off and then worked with developers to create the reports which were mainly SSRS reports. I delivered my piece of work early and before my contract finished I was able to assist in some Configuration imports using DIXF ahead of building the LIVE environment.

2 x 6 Month contracts + Extension I had the pleasure of working with the creators of my favourite breakfast cereal Weetabix!, on an AX2012 R3 implementation. My skills and experience were required to help deliver the Financials of an AX2012 R3 project.

6 Month contract + multiple extensionsI was brought in to help GTA (Kuoni) on a global Dynamics AX 2009 rollout. I was responsible for the AR functionality, developments and processes and the design and delivery of application security. My role is to ensure that the AX solution template is fully functionally integrated to allow GTS to operate in a fully connected manner. Working closely with the Business Integration Leads to challenge the status quo, streamline and simplify the business processes for Accounts Receivables. Key Deliverables: * Ensure the process stream activity is fully aligned with the overall project plan* Compliance with and promotion of the agreed project methodology* Design of, compliance with and promotion of the AX solution template* Design of new interfaces and integrations with other GTS systems* Commitment to and successful delivery of knowledge transfer from the project team to company personnel* Drive business process definition activity to understand and adapt the business requirements to fit standard AX functionality and processes* Participate in design, configure, build and integrate activities resulting in business process definition activities, ensuring the delivery of an effective AX solution

6 Month Contract + ExtensionEnterprise PLC were in a business readiness phase preparing for the proposed implementation of Dynamics AX 2012 across the group. I was responsible for the Fleet & Plant 'As is' information gathering and process mapping, and later Procurement also. Outside of mapping 'As is' processes I was tasked with providing 'To be' solutions to current issues the 'As is' processes faced and presented my findings to senior department members and key stakeholders.

6 Month contract + ExtensionCompany – AMECSector – Oil / GasProject – Project ‘Swift’ ERP Implementation (Dynamics AX 2009) I joined the AMEC Project in November 2011 and I was responsible for testing the Procure to Pay business stream processes and functionality in Dynamics AX 2009 solution. I was also tasked with testing multiple integrated developments and peripheral modifications. During my time with Project Swift I created test scripts for functional processes in Dynamics AX 2009, I tested the software for Functional Validity, Performance Capability and User Permissions to ensure the permission groups worked as defined. My contract was extended and I was involved in delivering the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) at the Darlington Shared Service Centre covering Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, General Ledger, Month end and Asset Management Modules/Processes.

HSO acquired Touchstone AX in 2011. I worked on multiple global projects across the US, Europe and Mexico.

Touchstone allowed me to become involved in a more varied selection of projects from Retail and Investment houses to Rental and Commodity trading operations.

At Omnica I worked on multiple projects all using Omnicas Multi Channel Retail vertical.

The largest Axapta project in Europe at the time, I worked as a Finance trainer, Developement Co-ordinator and Implementer. 13 Go lives and 300 depots later Speedy Hire was live on Axapta (Version 3). Having experienced the customer end of a project allows me to approach projects with a customer focus 'edge'.
