About Ken Harada
Radiation oncologist in Japan. I spent my undergraduate years in Wisconsin USA obtaining BS in astrophysics. Then, I went to medical school in Japan. Clinical training was completed at the National Cancer Center Tokyo. I am an active member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) serving on the Multidisciplinary Clinical Science committee. Writing articles such as clinical investigations, narrative reviews, and systematic reviews with my international colleagues is one of my current work. My laboratory research focuses on integrating biomaterial sciences into clinical medicine. One example is to develop a new covered stent using nanotechnology for cancer patients. Our technology can prevent the stent from dislocating the esophagus into the stomach. It can improve the quality of life and survival of advanced-stage cancer patients.
