I am a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) whose practice is focused exclusively on Socially Responsible Investing (SRI). I am passionate about sustainability, social and economic justice. With 16 years of experience in my field, I have helped hundreds of middle-class families, small business owners, and non-profit organizations effectively meet their financial goals without compromising their values. My professional background prior to becoming a financial planner, as well as my education and ongoing community involvement form the foundation for my financial expertise and understanding of issues relating to public policy and the impact that corporations have on our economy and society. I previously served as a budget and policy advisor at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and as the Budget & Planning Director at the Colorado Department of Revenue. I have long been involved in energy and environmental policy issues, including in depth analysis of the economics of nuclear power while in graduate school at the University of Michigan, Institute of Public Policy Studies, and in my early career at the Solar Energy Research Institute (now the National Renewable Energy Laboratory) in Golden. Other community involvement has included helping co-found the Harmony Village Co-housing community, and service on numerous non-profit boards relating to youth, housing, and the environment, and participated in campaigns for many progressive candidates and initiatives. I am a Colorado native. I enjoy telemark skiing, bluegrass music, biking and dabbling in making mosaics in my free time.
