As a CFCNCA Loaned Executive, I was detailed full time to work with CFCNCA staff to assist in the coordination, communication and implementation of activities within Federal agencies that are conducting campaigns in support of the CFC program. My support of the CFC campaigns of the Department of Justice, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and two smaller agencies resulted in over $1.3M in donations for charitable organizations representing those less-fortunate, and a combined 12 campaign contest and award winners. Tasks included:* Contacting and working primarily with Campaign Managers to assist in planning and conducting effective campaigns among their employees, including providing Campaign Managers with campaign materials and making presentations to employee groups. * Actively participating in Leadership events, workshops, and other Loaned Executive programming as specified. * Assuming responsibility for assisting the assigned Departments/Agencies with achieving their dollar goals. * Maintaining records for assigned accounts, including results and campaign activities. * Providing an evaluation with recommendations for each assigned account, outlining future growth opportunities. * Attending regular meetings with CFC staff for the purpose of reporting campaign progress. * Attending all related campaign meetings and functions.* Working with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to review CFC charity application training materials and the applications of charities seeking participation in the 2020 CFC. * Making recommendations to the Director of the CFC to approve or deny the charity application. * Assisting OPM with the review of Requests for Task Order Proposals for the Outreach Coordinator position in the 37 CFC zones, helping to ensure that 2020 personnel are in place prior to the start of the campaign period.

Responsible for the establishment, management and leadership of the Alternative Fuel Transportation Program.The Alternative Fuel Transportation Program requires that State government and alternative fuel provider fleets acquire alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) as an escalating percentage of their new light duty vehicle acquisitions, and awards credits for early or excess acquisition of AFVs.Conceived, established, and managed an acquisition and credits database that enabled covered fleets to report their AFV acquisitions and obtain and trade credits via electronic and paper methods.Conceived, established, and managed the process whereby interested parties can petition the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to have their fuels designated as alternative fuels. Responded to all inquiries about the requirements of the Alternative Fuel Transportation Program through all available communication methods.Prepared, issued and presented reports addressing the program's activities and effectiveness to DOE political and career management, the White House Office of Management and Budget, Congress and other interested parties.Consulted with members of DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, General Counsel, Policy to discuss the legal and policy implications of the program and EPACT. 11/12While in the second year of the MIDP program, was tasked with being the Roadmapping Project Coordinator for the Environmental Restoration Project Office of DOE's Albuquerque Field Office.Was responsible for the completion and submission of planning documents to DOE Headquarters, called "Roadmaps," for eight sites within DOE's nuclear complex that were in need of environmental restoration.Developed and disseminated guidance to site personnel to aid in pre-determining site-specific issues and concerns.Conducted on-site work sessions and meetings with site personnel to determine their site-specific issues and concerns.Transformed the results of these meetings into Roadmaps consisting of milestone charts, issue resolution and activity schedules for each of eight environmental restoration sites.Presented the Roadmaps to DOE Headquarters personnel in person and via video teleconference.

 During the first year of DOE’s Management Intern Development Program (MIDP), was assigned to DOE’s Office of Waste Reduction, which dealt with engineering methods to reduce wasted industrial energy. Was responsible for the authorship of two papers that examined ways to increase industrial energy efficiency and energy conservation. First paper focused on high efficiency electric motor drives and methods of increasing industrial adoption of energy efficient motor drive systems. Second paper focused on energy conserving industrial materials, the conservation benefits and potential barriers to commercial utilization of these materials, and recommended future directions for materials research. Presented the papers’ findings as part of a lunchtime energy efficiency seminar series. Directed Argonne National Laboratory research effort analyzing DOE’s electric motor drive program
