Profile bio

About Ken Kellar

I am a physical chemist with an interest in two main areas of applied, product-oriented research/development and formulation chemistry. The first is biological applications of physical chemistry, and I have experience in pharmaceuticals (mainly diagnostic imaging), agriculture, and sanitation. The second is the development of novel or modification of existing products to meet a specific or additional application (specialty products). I have over 20 years of industrial product-development experience in many different applications including Bio-Agriculture, Industrial & Institutional, Personal Care, Wastewater Treatment, Surgical Instrument Cleaning, Food-Packing Plant Sanitation, and Pharmaceutical. These products are in various physical forms: liquids, suspensions, emulsions (aqueous and non-aqueous), gels (aqueous and non-aqueous), foams, powders, and granular solids. My specialties include: incorporation of microbes, enzymes, and metabolites into many physical forms of formulations while ensuring performance and stability; calculation and measurement of structure-activity relationships relating to product characteristics and performance; intermolecular interactions; colloid/surface/interface chemistry; surfactant chemistry; and coatings.

Listed skills include Chemistry, Biotechnology, R&D, Formulation, and 19 others.
