In my current position, I support R&D by leading the validation team that brought quality to the next level. In this diverse role, my team supports a lean 6 sigma approach to continuous improvement. Our primary goals are to ensure that newly created instruments or upgrades to existing instruments are capable of achieving product specifications, and are free of defects.As a research scientist, I designed & constructed a chemical reactor to generate H2 via photocatalytic decomposition of water on zirconiana noparticles for use in fuel cells. As a systems scientist, I automated laborious data handling processes by writing custom applications, allowing R&D to oversee quality assurance with a high level of accuracy. This led to my interest in programming and has allowed me to bring efficiency to laboratory and business processes. CURRENT GOALS: My career is at a crossroad. With a diverse skill set and collaborative approach, I am looking for a position that will allow me to delve deep:As a scientist with a background in instrumentation, as well as with management & business processes, I am drawn to Lab Management. I have developed skills in programming (Python | Java | SQL | Visual Basic), built a LIMS from scratch, & developed tools to automate data analysis, business, & administrative processes as well as improve product and organizational quality. I would like to apply these competencies with a company inside or outside the scientific, chemical, and biotechnology community.I am also open to exploring opportunities within Quality Assurance. I am committed to bringing the ISO 9000 family of quality management systems to transform business and improve customer satisfaction.I am open to relocating to find the best fit within a corporate culture that allows me to contribute my skills and thrive within it.
