Well, a few updates from the year of Covid. We now have a Password Vault mostly implemented. We are in the process of implementing a Hardware Security Module (HSM) and have started our second (hopefully) on time SOC 2 evidence gathering.Doing the same stuff that I did as a consultant but with a much longer title, a full time salary and benefits.Beginning to add a bit more Dev to the DevSecOps part of my role. In the end stages of acquiring a Static Application Security Test tool. Will begin implementation the last quarter of this year if all stays on track.

New job and a new role(s). ARS is a rapidly growing SMB in the Financial Services sector. ARS's primary business applications have all been developed internally and are evolving rapidly to meet new business challenges. Approximately 3% of their employees are in IT. This includes operations, development and management personnel. This is a very small IT to Employee ratio especially considering their emphasis on building internally for competitive advantage and keeping applications on-premise for security reasons. My primary mission here has 3 parts to it:1. Manage the audits by our clients (financial institutions) plus our yearly SOC 2 audit and make sure we're prepared and have all the necessary processes, procedures and evidence to pass with flying colors.2. CHEARS monitored, alerted and corrected incidents across the national order flow and fulfillment processes for CDI, resulting in substantial increase in customer satisfaction and savings of over $4 million in direct costs from up-time improvements.• Key contributor in creating Enterprise Architecture practice at CDI. Benefits and value achieved resulted in the launch of a corporate wide Enterprise Architecture practice in 2003.
