Prepared and implemented bond, alternate fixed income, and cash management investment policy; assisted in overall portfolio strategy; coordinated all Department administration (relating to Pension Plans' reporting and analysis, actuarial science, accounting, tax, law, trustee and insurance company relations).Structured a dedicated fixed income portfolio through a combination of bonds and guaranteed investment contracts, a technique which both improved the safety of the beneficiaries' asset base and provided the corporation with significant increase in earnings and available cash. Organized the financial details for a contribution of an overriding royalty from the corporation to the pension trust in lieu of a cash contribution, a technique which provided all the beneficiaries a high yielding, inflation hedge alternate investment with diversification value and which increased the relative value of the asset within the corporate system. Conducted a national search for a new master trustee for the benefit plans. Prepared a "state of the art" assessment for management consideration. Worked with the new trustee in project development, including report formats, special investment systems, and new investment and cash management techniques.Consolidated, analyzed and reported investment performance from all investment managers to senior management.Consolidated the trustee statements for outside accounting and actuarial counsel, for purposes of audit and governmental filing.Managed the documentation process for investment transactions by all managers of pension trust funds.
