•Developed and managed a $6.3 million budget and directed a combined staff of 35 employees for this position. Built a team environment and innovatively utilized contractors during a 5-year period of staffing limitations, met and/or exceeded all goals, and maintained compliance in 4 distinct functional areas of responsibility described below: • Managed and directed the activity of engineers, designers and draftsmen responsible for engineering and technical support for pipeline and product truck loading terminals. • Managed and directed Technical Services support for 42 product truck loading terminals. Services include managing E&I Specialists supporting automation systems, vapor control systems, electrical subsystems and corrosion control systems. • Managed and directed Pipeline Integrity Management responsibilities for all regulated pipelines including the supervision of associated personnel. Maintained all assets in compliance with regulations and built a 10-year record of zero regulatory fines or penalties. • Managed and directed the Pipeline Control Center operations. PLCC responsibilities included monitoring and control of 500 miles of regulated pipeline and associated scheduling and accounting activity. Built a team and environment that contributed to an excellent incident record and in full compliance to DOT regulations. • Operations management lead for the 12-month project to develop and implement new DOT required Control Room Management Regulations. Completed all phases of the project on schedule and within budget and in full compliance with the extensive regulations

•Planned and directed the activity of 20 engineers, designers and draftsmen responsible for project engineering and technical support for 3,500 miles of pipeline. Took initiative to hold regular meetings with operations management (internal customers) to define and negotiate service level agreements. Consistently met and/or exceeded all goals for multiple projects per year ranging from $50,000 to $32 million. •Key member of a team that included engineering managers from 3 refineries, that developed Capital Projects Engineering procedural standards and best practices for the entire corporation. Personally championed awareness of widely diverse organizational needs and helped develop a waiver and threshold model that allowed business-critical flexibility in a single model. Process has been utilized effectively for 20+ years

•Developed budget and managed activity of 20 E&I Technicians supporting district pipeline operations including field automation, data communications and SCADA subsystems for 3,500 miles of pipeline. Also managed 3 additional technicians responsible for corrosion control and cathodic protection programs. Consistently achieved maximum utilization of system and full compliance to all DOT regulations.•Project Manager for a $1.2 million SCADA system upgrade and pipeline automation project. Successfully transitioned monitoring and control of multiple crude oil gathering systems into a centralized control center that incorporated state-of-the-art applications including real-time leak detection and an integrity monitoring model. Eliminated 1 regional pipeline control center and provided first-ever automation to 4 crude oil gathering districts.

• Managed 13 Pipeline Control Center personnel providing the scheduling, remote monitoring/control and inventory/stock accounting functions for 3000 miles of company owned and/or operated pipelines.• Responsible for all automated computer operations supporting the Pipeline Control Center, including: a totally redundant SCADA control system, a multi-access Shipper Network system, a fully automated accounting, ticketing and tariff invoicing system, and a product movement scheduling system.
