Data communications technical leader for the business responsible for data connectivity roadmap. Leading a four person global team and responsible for the architecture and development of an XML based network protocol used to communicate real-timeparametric data between anesthesia machines and other medical devices written in C++. Co-leading a six person team, responsible for developing a C++, platform independent XML based network protocol library used in multiple medical products running various architectures. Actively contribute on IHE working group for communication protocol definition of respiratory and anesthesia data. Developed communication processes responsible for interfacing between various embedded sub-systems and a display computer for an FDA approved anesthesia machine. Maintain communication protocol for entire anesthesia and respiratory and sleep product portfolio.

Designed and developed a proprietary image interface that reads and writes multi modality images (CT, PET, MR), and creates a 3d volume of the data that can be visualized by an image fusion application. As part of a two person team, developed software interface using `Plugin' architecture to transfer geometric and patient treatment data from/to the radiation treatment planning (RTP) system to/from a DICOM RT compliant device. Led training in UML and Design Patterns for development staff. Trained outside researchers how to add functionality to the RTP system using the `Plugin' architecture developed in C++, and various other research tools.

As part of a three person team, using OO design techniques, developed a `Plugin' architecture in C++ which provided software components allowing developers access to geometric parameters, and patient treatment data from a proprietary radiation treatment planning system. Developed software interface using Plugin architecture to transfer geometric and patient treatment data from the RTP system to a linear accelerator (LINAC) used to treat cancer patients.

Developed requirements for a new architectural lighting product. Maintained application and system software for architectural lighting product using C/C++, MFC, and the VxWorks real-time OS for the Intel i960JX processor. Developed Windows MFC application using Visual C++ and object oriented design techniques for manipulating control of lighting levels over an IP network.

Responsible for the embedded development of an FDA approved bone densitometer. Developed and delivered x-ray controller firmware using C and the CMX-RTX real-time operating system for the Intel 8X930Ax micro-controller. Developed and delivered auto-download firmware which allows automatic field upgrades of x-ray controller firmware. Produced design and validation documentation in accordance with Lunar's ISO 9001 and FDA procedures. Developed Windows MFC application using C++ and object oriented design techniques to interface with auto-download firmware to run standalone.
