Responsibilities encompassed the data communications, surveillance, unmanned, SATCOM, displays, and general aviation technologies and markets. Business development, acquisition, due diligence, and university work was a daily responsibility of this position as I worked across all disciplines and with the rest of our Corporation to identify new opportunities that met our financial and technical goals. L-3 Aviation Products manufactures a diverse line of safety- and efficiency-enhancing products that sets the standard for next-generation requirements, including configurable voice and data recorders, collision avoidance systems, transponders, navigation products, display systems and processors. L-3 Aviation Products also offers aftermarket services, including MRO and integrated performance-based logistics for military and commercial systems.

Managed Research and Development, Program Execution, and FAA Certification at ACSS. ACSS produces communications, surveillance, and safety hardware and software products for worldwide Air Transport, Business Jet, and General Aviation markets. ACSS is a joint venture between Thales and L3 Communications and is a member of the L3 Communications Aviation Product Sector (APS).- Converted 2011-2015 R&D into product selection at ATR, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier in addition to capturing new General Aviation market share. - Assumed direct responsibility for FAA ACO relationship resulting in 2013 completion of ACSS/FAA Partnership for Safety Plan and 2015 adoption of ODA practices. We achieved STC ODA in 2016. - Created a dedicated Subcontract and Outsource Management group that allows our division to focus on Core Competencies while creating high quality deliverables from our outsource partners - Transformed culture to adopt and utilize LEAN optimization methods (Kaizen/5S)

Provided leadership and oversight of Program Execution, FAA Certification, and Customer Support at ACSS. ACSS produces communications, surveillance, and safety hardware and software products for worldwide Air Transport, Business Jet, and General Aviation markets. ACSS is a joint venture between Thales and L3 Communications and is a member of the L3 Communications Aviation Product Sector (APS).- Created a Program Management organization that is a key contributor to revenue that increased 10% YoY from 2011-15 - Initiated and completed a multi-division, multi-continent program that became a Top 5 Production Program for the corporation - Secured strategic investment, development, and manufacturing partnerships in India and China for two new product lines - Initiated and completed the formal induction of ACSS into the Worldwide Airbus Supplier Ratings in 2012. We climbed to number five in only two years.

Managed Research and Development, Program Execution, and Certification at GCS. Served on L3 Corporate Engineering Council and L3 Corporate Diversity Initiatives Committee. L3 GCS is a world leader in SATCOM terminal and system design. Provides VSAT, trailer, manpack, and vehicular SATCOM terminals for military and commercial applications that communicate over WGS, DSCS, XTAR, INMARSAT, INTELSAT, EUTELSAT and several other constellations.- Created a Program Management organization that is a key contributor to revenue that increased more than 70% in 3 years (while also maintaining double digit EBIT). - Converted 2 year R&D effort into the win of the $170M SDN-L program in 2010. Served as Proposal Director for this effort and GCS was awarded the “Most Significant Corporate Win” for 2010 by L-3. - Owned the direct customer interface to PM in SOCOM, WHCA, JCSE, CSS, and EOD. - Achieved nearly 100% conversion on annual Research and Development fueled IDIQ contracts. - Led a multi-location team in the design, certification, and delivery of SATCOM systems for operation over WGS (Ka+X Band), DSCS(X Band), XTAR(X Band), and several Commercial constellations (i.e. INTELSAT C and Ku Bands). - Key wins over 3 years resulting from R&D investment and execution in the areas of COMSEC, TEMPEST, MIL environmental performance, and SATCOM RF solutions. - Co-contributor of current ARSTRAT certification documentation. Regular consultant of government standards and certification bodies for new classes of terminals and performance challenges. - Served on industry committees and panels and maintained speaking engagements (e.g. Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Rochester, High Schools, MIL STD 188-164, WGS Cert, Wideband Working Group).- Actively addressed issue of imbalance of women and minorities in top leadership positions. - Served on the L-3 Communications Corporate Engineering Council addressing technology and Engineering issues across the Corporation.

Directed development and program execution for flyaway, ground, airborne, and shipboard SATCOM systems. System development for DHS Secure Border Initiatives, system integration of UAV datalinks and ground systems.- Managed multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the $140M ARMY Programs Group. Dual reporting to the VP of Engineering and VP of ARMY Programs. Designed and delivered the first ARSTRAT certified Ka-Band terminal in the world as culmination of the $275M Phoenix program for WIN-T. - Worked directly with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol to design and deliver modified communications vehicles for DHS. - Developed and tested DoD certification standards for the Ku and Ka band airborne beyond line of sight terminals for PM WIN-T and CECOM. - Grew ARMY Sustainment business by nearly 200% within 4 years as a result of new technology infusion and excellent worldwide field support. - Served as Product Manager for point to multipoint wireless data and POTs voice terminals in South America.
