I have never forgotten some key lessons that I picked up in my early life. Growing up in a rural setting on a farm taught me the value of hard work, taking some risks and learning how to improvise in times of adversity.These initial teachings have served me well through school, university and during the past 29 years working in the petroleum industry. My roles and responsibilities have been as diversified as the environments and cultures that I have worked in and they have given me a unique skill set that can be adapted to a variety of employment positions.I currently work in a reservoir technical role and have extensive experience with both deep-water exploration operations as well as land based unconventional markets. On a personal note - my family, health and happiness are just as important to me as my job and I believe that these two areas do not have to be mutually exclusive for either of them to flourish. I'm an avid cyclist and a 'so-so' runner having completed BP MS150 five times and the Houston half marathon twice.
