HdL’s systematic and coordinated approach to revenue management and economic data analysis is currently being utilized by over 400 agencies across seven states. Services include a variety of audits, analytical services and software products. Audit and consulting services are available for sales, use and transaction taxes, property taxes and business license fees. HdL also provides a variety of enterprise software processing tools for business licensing and other permitting processes.As a Principal in the Sales Tax Client Services Group, I am part of a team who supports local governments by delivering increased tax revenues, providing critical management data for better informed decisions and offering outstanding expertise to support fiscal planning and economic development. I have 26 years of local government experience in various leadership roles, including Administrative Services Director, Assistant City Manager and more recently as City Manager in San Rafael and Walnut Creek. During my tenures, I was responsible for a broad range of budget, financial management and long range fiscal planning functions. My experience includes strategic planning and economic development, plus serving on various regional government boards. Prior to my local government service, I worked as a Certified Public Accountant conducting municipal audits. I am a collaborative leader and one who enjoys working in teams to provide solutions that continue to make local governments successful so they can deliver important public services to their communities and constituents.
