Involved working with independent insurance agents to help expand their business in the life insurance and employee benefits area

Covered 17 counties in north central and north western Ohio from Mansfield, OH to Lima OH. Worked with IBM customers and prospective customers assessing their DP needs for equipment and peripheral supplies & equipment. Designed punch card input layouts for punch card DP applications. Completed 3 mos. board wiring & programming school in Chicago 1963. Basic FORTRAN and early business applications.Promoted and transferred to IBM Cincinnati in 1965. Left IBM in August of 1966 to enter the insurance business.

Second in charge of 8 man crew. Helped install and run a 3 story offset Hoe press. We printed Encyclopedia Brittanica at very high speeds. Initially ran 3 shifts 5 days a week.

Fireman both yard and on the road between Willard, OH and Toledo, OH - Performed fireman duties on large and small steam locomotives used to haul freight in long trains. Also worked as a brakeman in the yards briefly in 1955. Left to attend Kent State University.
