Currently, my team and I handle US tax filings internationally for US citizens including special filings for controlled foreign corporations (form 5471), the Foreign Bank Account Reporting (FBAR), and programs like the Streamlined Foreign Offshore filing program for US citizens who have gotten behind in filings or some, like US citizens who have never lived in the USA, who have never filed tax returns and this program lets them get caught up without penalty.Senior Financial and IT Manager with more than 35 years of experience with the integration of computer systems and accounting systems which includes computerizing manual systems and changing from one computer system to another. Business analysis, policy and procedure analysis and customization were all involved. With a personal tendency toward entrepreneurship, corporations have often benefitted from the intrapreneurship application of the same skills, resulting in large (beneficial) changes including a successful turn-around. Tax strategy skills were developed starting at the same time with graduate school and practical application in business. Programming skills were added as well with training and real world applications which included database management, database design, programming/coding and client/server application design/development. As a Controller and CFO, usually the CIO role was combined for maximum effectiveness with bottom-line focus and the goal of making the job a profit center in addition to streamlining corporate accountability with improved forecasting/budgeting, P&L management, cash flow analysis and management, systems controls, policies and procedures, income tax planning and payroll management.
