Ken Sim was the Maintenance Manager of Eastman Chemical Singapore Pte Ltd from 1999 to 2021 and has over 25 years of Maintenance and Reliability experience in Petrochemical manufacturing plant. During his past 24 years in Eastman, he has led implementation of Total outsource maintenance, RCM, TPM, Maintenance skill verification and OJT training processes. He also serves as Eastman Chemical Asia Pacific Regional Maintenance Lead; in charge of managing the AP region maintenance cost of 3 country sites (Singapore, Malaysia and China). He has experience driving implementation of worldwide corporate maintenance process and best practices, making the AP sites the benchmark sites among Eastman with lowest maintenance cost & high reliability. He has been involved in the assessment of M & R capability of manufacturing sites in China (Nanping, Funing, Tianjin, Qilu) to drive integration of Maintenance & Reliability effort in the region. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, driving the company's Six Sigma Project initiatives. He is also the Capital project coordinator for the Singapore site responsible for the site’s capital project budgeting & implementation.
