Kenneth Singleton is the Adams Distinguished Professor of Management, Emeritus at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, and an advisor to early-stage startups and to fintech and insurtech venture capital funds. Ken has consulted with multinational financial institutions, and served on the Boards of Directors of for- and not-for profit companies. Ken is also Co-Founder of the 501(c)3 nonprofit 1 Grain to 1000 Grains that nourishes the aspirations of families, as it collaborates to vitalize the communities they live in. Through its programs families discover intuitive and actionable plans for more healthful eating and enhanced financial capacity. Each participating family fosters healthful behaviors for many– from one grain springs thousands.During his 40-year academic career, he published widely on financial risks and their impacts on economic decision-making, including books on credit risk and dynamic asset pricing. Ken received numerous professional awards, including the fourth Stephen A. Ross Prize in Financial Economics, the Frisch Prize from the Econometric Society, and Smith-Breeden prizes from the Journal of Finance. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, the Journal of Econometrics, and the Society for Financial Econometrics.
