I have extensive experience litigating, and favorably resolving, game-changing cases for governments, corporations and individuals.I am known for taking on high-profile, complex matters of public interest; trade secret, employment, product liability and defamation cases; and a variety of other civil litigation. I am currently leading the Pillsbury team representing the cities of New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco in their path-breaking suit against the Department of Defense and the military services. The Department of Defense suit seeks to ensure that the military services comply with their legal obligation to report conviction and dishonorable discharge information to the national criminal background check system for gun sales. The military’s prior failure to do that contributed to the Texas Church Shootings in Sutherland Springs, Texas.The public interest in the Department of Defense suit has been overwhelming, with more than 1,000 broadcast, print and online news outlets having covered the matter to date. This has included numerous front page stories, and nationally televised news coverage on ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, NBC and PBS.I previously led Pillsbury’s landmark litigation to stem the flow of illegal out-of-state guns on behalf of the City of New York. As a recognized authority on employment litigation, I am often called upon to share my experience and insights on employment issues.
