    From July 2017 to September 2018 I operated as Electric Ireland's Business Change Lead , where I will be responsible for the preparation and execution of a smooth transition of the I-SEM (Integrated – Single Electricity Market) project into the business. The new wholesale Electricity market is as a result of changes in European Legislation. These changes are designed to harmonise cross-border trading arrangements and will enable Ireland to integrate more fully with European Market Trading arrangements.The key objectives of I-SEM for Electric Ireland are:• Active participation by supplier companies – submitting bids to purchase energy in the day-ahead and intraday markets. • Suppliers and generators paying / being paid based on prices and quantities determined through ex-ante (forward, day-ahead and intraday) trading. • Cross-zonal power flows determined based on energy market trades and power flowing from the cheaper to the more expensive bidding zone.I am tasked with ensuring the business input, preparation for transition, embedding and reinforcement of the I-SEM Programme and associated changes it will bring, as per the change management delivery plan. I am responsible for ensuring the impact of changes on the business are clearly defined and understood.I will Identify, plan and oversee the execution of any work required to prepare for the changes within the business’ existing operations .

    Six years experience in the Irish electricity sector beginning as a Pricing Analyst for ESB Independent Energy (Santry) for three years. My role here was to conduct pricing analysis for the ROI market then the NI electricity market, extrapolating and analysing customers electricity demands and consumption of electricity. The key output was producing customised contract quotes based on each individual customers business needs be they medium or large scale business.In late 2005 I progressed into the Electricity Market Messaging Communications where the standard for communication is XML and also through the IDE module combined with workflow within the SAP IS-U system.During my time in ESBIE I have gained over six years experience in the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland Market Messaging system with experience in Microsoft BizTalk.As part of my role of Market Messaging Support I monitored the transition of XML market messages from the open market , through the middle ware, BizTalk, and on into SAP IS-U as iDocs. Other areas of exposure were workflow administration, IDE and SAP Notifications.I was solely responsible for;Unit, System, UAT testing within the organisation and the sign off of the Ability testing with Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) when ESBIE entered the Northern Ireland electricity market in 2006.I demonstrated strong organisational skills as well as strong documentation skills while writing business procedures.
