Load-in project manager for Shell Indefatigable Field decommissioning.Senior management representative responsible for marine and heavy lift and set-down operations for multiple barge transports into Swan Hunters, Wallsend.Responsible for the planning and organising of safe, marine warranty compliant operations for the receipt of multiple Topsides and Jacket Structures to meet the barge delivery program.Successfully managed the critical interfaces between all subcontractors and between local stakeholders with an interest in the marine and load in operational works.Participated in joint partner make safe inspection rounds on initial barge arrival at Swan Hunters.Led the daily operations meetings in the lead up to barge arrivals and throughout the barge preparation, load in and barge re-instatement phases - promoted and attained a highly cohesive cross party team approach.Effective liaison with Shell representatives, marine warranty surveyor, heavy lift contractor, dismantling and disposal contractor, port authority, marine and fabrication contractors.Financial and commercial management aspects including sub contractor management and the submission of contract variation requests.Managed to facilitate a much accelerated barge delivery program at very short notice and complete the project early. All barge turnarounds were achieved within a 7 day turnaround timescale reducing the overall barge costs to the client. Project was completed ahead of schedule without the occurrence of a recordable case.

Edzell

Full P and L responsibility for Edzell Base, the largest Peterson operations base. One hundred acre site with over 55,000 square metres of high quality warehousing spread over 7 warehouses with a staff over 50.Led the buisness and organisational development of the site for more than 9 years to become the location of choice for major operators for the storage and management of offshore related inventory in the UK.Had the vision and autonomy to build a highly successful buisness unit from start up in 2001 having full operational responsibility and financial accountability.Led the continual growth development of this key business unit to an annual turnover in excess of £5m with an EBIT of £1.5m by 2009.Managed to attract new buisness and extend the range of services provided to existing clients.Successfully retained business through effective customer relationship management and high quality service delivery.Developed a one stop shop philosophy for the storage, maintenance and repair of casing and tubing.Played a major role in developing and successfully implementing certification plans resulting in the attainment of BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001 an BS OHAS 18001 accreditations.
