An industry veteran with 33 years in construction management, Ken Wayman is an President of the Southeast Region with Elford, Inc. Ken joined Elford in 2013 and currently drives the company’s strategic work behind client management, new business acquisition, and Elford’s expansion into the Southeast. Ken is an integral part of the corporate executive team and oversees the Southeast Region from Elford’s Charlotte, NC office.In early 2019, after decades of growth throughout the Midwest and Southeast, the team at Elford felt having a dedicated presence in the Southeast would allow the company to better serve current and future customers. The company’s client base had become more regional, and many were expanding into the Southeast. With his longstanding focus on company growth, Ken was tapped to lead Elford’s expansion in the Charlotte region and excitedly relocated his family to the area.With a focus on multi-family, industrial, and commercial construction projects, Ken is confident Elford will continue to build upon the company’s 112-year history and serve new and existing customers across the Southeast with a commitment to customer service and exceptional project delivery. Viewing every client project as a growth opportunity, Ken and his team work collectively to develop a client base that reflects Elford’s values and dedication to Build, Serve and Lead in the communities the organization impacts. Ken feels the City’s evolution is truly exciting and enjoys being an active participant in what Charlotte is becoming socially, culturally and professionally. Ken graduated with a Bachelor of Construction Engineering from the University of Akron. He also completed the Executive Business Program at The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business. Ken is a Board Member and Property Committee Member for the Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte and sits on the Industry Advisory Board for the UNC Charlotte Construction Management program.
