Growing up in a machine/engine/weld shop, I have a vast understanding of mechanical systems. I described myself as a "Jack of All Trades" and I always enjoy learning how things work, fail and are repaired. In accomplishing a task, I strive to find the most efficent, reliable and cost effective route because it satisfies my thirst for doing it right the first time. I like variety, which supports the "Jack of All Trades" image but as the phrase continues "Master of None" I don't find myself diving deep into a single point of interest. At home, I'm a do it yourself person who repairs rather than replaces anything: mechanical, electrical, HVAC, auto body, welding, machining, woodworking, engine building, etc.My occupation since 1989 has been Auotmotive Test Engineer at one of the leading independant proving grounds in the World. In that role, I have manged many of the largest programs that came life at the facility including: 80 vehicle fleet of durability test vehicle accumualting 2,000,000 miles, 5-Truck SAE J1321 fuel economy test including highway, short haul and city driving cycles, a full scale motorcoach barrier wall crash test with 26 ATDs and 432 data channels samples at 20,000 Hz, a 200 vehicle demonstration event for governement and industry experts lasting one week. I have supported vehicle durability and dynamics testing for 18 years, impact laboratory testing for 5 years, and currenlty emissions testing for at least 3 years. I support the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) by organizing a session each year at the World Congress which I have received the Forest R McFarlan award , I have been a judge at many different SAE student competitions, and I have presented topics at SAE trade shows.
