As a fiber artisan based in downtown Los Angeles, I bring a strong technical background and a commitment to craftsmanship and quality to every project. I am the Founder and Creative Director of Chou Knits, a small-batch, handmade knitwear brand where each piece is crafted with intention. Chou Knits reflects my dedication to artisanal, slow-fashion principles, emphasizing high-quality materials and mindful production. My career journey includes my current role as a Non-Denim Product Development Specialist at Guess Inc. Following internships in Product Development and R&D at Guess, I transitioned to a full-time role where I’m responsible for managing the full lifecycle of non-denim apparel. I work closely with design and sourcing teams to refine style grids, track samples, and ensure smooth vendor coordination—all while supporting core values around responsible and ethical production. My time as an R&D Intern at Guess gave me valuable experience in fabric development and mill coordination, while my Product Development Internship enhanced my skills in product lifecycle management, technical design, and sample logistics. This background has equipped me to bring innovation to my work with an eye on quality and process.Alongside Guess, I run Chou Knits, where I manage every aspect of the brand—from designing and producing artisanal knitwear to overseeing inventory, branding, and digital presence. My education at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), where I earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Fashion Design, gave me foundational expertise in sewing, pattern making, draping, garment construction, and CAD, skills I’ve further developed through my work.During my time at Mood Fabrics as a Textile Consultant and Cutter, I developed a strong expertise in fabric identification, application, and cutting techniques. Assisting a diverse clientele allowed me to deepen my understanding of textiles and their properties, honing my ability to select materials that align with specific design needs. This experience further strengthened my attention to detail and customer-focused approach, which I carry forward in both my work with Guess and Chou KnitsWith experience in customer service, textile consulting, and product development, I strive to balance the technical and creative sides of my craft, always with an emphasis on quality and impact. I am always eager to connect with like-minded professionals and explore new paths in the fashion and textile industry.
