In 2021, the Colusa Indian Community Council created a Tribal Utility Authority, merging the Co-Gen and Electrical departments, of which I was made the Director. The TUA oversees the operation of the Tribe's micro-grid and islanded Co-Gen power plant, including a dedicated team of Co-Gen operators and technicians, managers, leads, electricians, and apprentices. The TUA's mission is to deliver clean, reliable, and safe power to all of its consumers, including casino/hotel resort, members' homes, Tribal government buildings, medical clinic, water treatment plants, wellness center, community facilities, and agricultural infrastructure. Functions:Managing a multi-million dollar budget.Procuring gas contracts.Leading a team of operators, electricians, mechanics, and technicians.Overseeing the O&M of dozens of pieces of equipment for a 6 MW Co-Gen.Installing a 4 MW battery UPS system.Leading a large redesign of the original plant.Managing projects to connect dozens of new homes and businesses to the micro-grid.

Served as director of a micro-grid that supplies power, hot water, and chilled water for an entire Indian reservation, including casino/hotel resort. Functions included daily management of a multi-million dollar budget, leading a team of operators and technicians, and overseeing the O&M of dozens of pieces of equipment for a 6MW Co-Gen power plant. Directly managed complex expansion projects, including the installation of a 4MW battery UPS system, and led a large redesign of the original plant, so that the aging gas engines could be replaced without downtime. Also managed a unique addition to the plant's micro-grid that connected dozens of new homes and businesses to the system, after securing millions of dollars in federal grant money. The plant did not have a single power interruption for over a decade under my direction.
