Ken Al-Imam is the Chief Financial Officer of the City of San Juan Capistrano. For the past 25 years, Ken has served in a leadership role with respect to the local government finance community. Ken is past Chairman of the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee of the California Society of CPAs. Ken has been an active member of CCMA (California Committee on Municipal Accounting) and a major contributor to the development of the CCMA White Papers that have been issued over the past 15 years. CCMA is the body that provides California-specific guidance with respect to the application of new government accounting standards. Ken has been a frequent speaker on new government accounting standards, including presentations at the GFOA and CSMFO Annual Conferences.Ken Al-Imam is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers.
