Hi! I’m Kenan, a driven director at Prospr., committed to leading positive transformation in support services within the NDIS and OOHC sectors. My focus lies in implementing trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally competent training, whilst also providing robust support and supervision for our dedicated team of support workers. I am deeply passionate about ensuring the safety and wellbeing of participants, and supporting them in realising their individual needs and desires.My journey began with my studies in a Bachelor of Social Science (Criminology Major) at the University of Wollongong. Although I initially aimed for a career in national criminal intelligence, an unexpected opportunity as a Youth Work / Disability Support Worker shifted my focus. Since then, I’ve never looked back. In my role as a Youth / Disability Support Worker, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, young people, and their families from diverse backgrounds and abilities across various settings, including alternative care arrangements, in-home support, mentoring, community participation, and residential care.Transitioning into case management within LWB's ITC-SD (Intensive Therapeutic Care - Significant Disability) program was a pivotal moment. It allowed me to elevate my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, while maintaining the invaluable interpersonal connections essential to effective case planning. Developing and implementing case plans, CALD plans, and safety plans became a source of fulfillment for me as I witnessed the positive transformations and progress in the individuals with disabilities and teams I have supported. Stepping up to fill in as a Home Manager further enriched my understanding of operational dynamics, good practices within the recruitment and induction processes, as well as honing my ability to address staffing and performance challenges. In my journey, I have firmly believed in the importance of continuous learning, a mindset I remain committed to indefinitely.
