I possess prior experience working in an administrative support position while I was a member of Phi Theta Kappa at Wake Technical Community College. Phi Theta Kappa is an honor society that offers several positions for students to engage with each other as officers and collaborate on PTK events as well as a college project. I was the recording secretary and was responsible for maintaining recorded information to be readily available for the other officers. I documented important information during meetings and filed them in digital formats on Microsoft Word and Google Drive. I also proficiently used email to correspond with a large number of my fellow students and members about upcoming meetings and events they could attend. My time with them helped me to learn to manage my time for better availability and I am willing to work on weekends and evenings if I am needed. I have previous experience assisting management and customers at Harris Teeter by providing excellent customer service and being able to adapt to different roles that I am needed for. I worked at the register and handled money carefully with a clean record. I can use prior experience to help students and faculty with any questions or tasks they need help with. I work well with fellow employees and assist them however I can because of my team-building experience. I also performed extra jobs at Harris Teeter such as helping with janitorial and stocking duties outside of my department when asked. As such, I can quickly familiarize myself with new tasks and can assist with other duties related to the job such as common office projects and helping with filing mail along with other necessary tasks.
