As a Visiting Assistant Professor, I am teaching established courses in the Lawrence Department of Biology as well as teaching Conservation Genetics as an upper-level elective.

I am teaching classes primarily in Environmental Science at UWGB as needed.

I am working at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and teaching in the new Aquaculture Emphasis program. Over the next few years, I'll be developing courses in Aquaculture, Larval Fishes, and Conservation while continuing to do research on important regional species such as yellow perch. I am continuing my work with a local non-profit (The Farmory) to establish a yellow perch hatchery in a renovated armory building in downtown Green Bay in an advisory capacity. This hatchery will supply fingerlings both to the aquaponics facility within the Farmory and to local perch producers as well. In addition to my duties with the Farmory, I will be establishing a research program on cultured species at UWGB and occasionally teaching classes. Past work has included everything from examining the molecular basis behind changes in Fatty Acid metabolism in larvae of red drum with different maternal FA nutrition, helping develop sablefish larviculture to assessment of practical feeds for hybrid striped bass juveniles raised in ponds. My Masters thesis work involved the lysine nutrition of juvenile red drum and my PhD dissertation involved the hormone cholecystokinin and its role in the development of digestion in larval red drum.Specialties: Aquaculture NutritionNutritional PhysiologyOntogeny of the Digestive Tract

I work with Dr. Lee Fuimans' team as a specialist in nutritional physiology of marine larvae. I am responsible for experimental design, analysis, and interpretation of studies intended to elucidate the mechanisms underlying observed changes in fatty acid nutrition of red drum larvae.

I worked at the Manchester Field Station on rearing and development of larval Sablefish and then later at the Montlake campus on larval rearing of red drum and California halibut.

Worked at the Aquaculture Research and Teaching Facility (ARTF) as a student worker.
