In 1991, Siliconix was purchased by Daimler Benz and became part of its $1 billion electronics division, TEMIC. Was named the Senior Manager of Quality and Reliability Assurance for Asia Pacific. In this role, defined outsourcing strategies and implemented programs in total quality management across 3 factories and 13 subcontractors. In less than two years, reduced headcount by 50% and increased outgoing product quality by two orders of magnitude.

For his work, received an award from GE for outstanding quality improvement in a manufacturing environment. -
