Deployed to Airframe Engineering IPT for Relentless 525 Program and later 505 JRX.Using CATIA V6 , Enovia & SAP.Established the Airframe Tooling Policy for the 525 Program . Develop and implement part assembly and Tooling/Part Index Plan process. Provide producibility inputs during the design development phase including continuous improvement, Supplier evaluation Team member ,Manage >1400 Supplier Tools. Tracking build progress, providing on-site technical support including weekly program schedule updates & cost negotiations on our Supplier Tooling valued over $40M . Also responsible for managing and approval of Supplier Tooling Certification Packages and invoices. Currently provide on-going Technical Manufacturing / Liaison Engineering Supplier support on-site for over 1500 Airframe Composite & Complex Machine Parts for SDD Aircraft. While also supporting Strategic Sourcing effort to optimize our Next Higher Assemblies for cost reduction.

Manufacture Project Engineer Lead - deployed to the H-1 ZBN (Z Build New) Program. Using Unigraphics - NX5 & CATIA V4.Team Leader though an extensive reverse Engineering effort. Taking a 1960's legacy 2D Engineering drawing Mod Program to create 3D CAD Engineering models using laser tracker scan data from over 100 Master Gages. As part of a Black Belt project we developed the process map to reconcile our gage scan data to incorporate into a new nominal engineering definition. Which then we defined a New Tool family to transition from the obsolete Template type Tooling to the 3D Digital source for Planning and Manufacturing a New Cabin. This allowed our Build Team and our Supply base to use this 3D Models for all the down stream Manufacture Support such as NC-Numeric Control machine methods & Quality Inspecting metrology Tools like CMM's or Laser Trackers for the Tooling and detail part manufacturing and assembly effort.

Deployed to the ARH - Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter, Airframe IPT. Utilizing CATIA V4 Develop Tooling Concepts, Supported Tooling Offload, create the Tooling SOWs - Statement of Work. My role included EVMS-Earned Value Management System. Using Premivera as a Work Package Lead to manage all of the tooling budgets & schedules for the Cabin final assembly tooling including the procured Airframe Supplier parts.

Responsible for P&L on ~$8.5M Tooling Budget, Managed the design & build effort, monitored schedules, coordinate long lead material and hardware acquisitions, created SOW's & managed offload support. Configuration Management including capturing impacts and negotiating cost changes.

Responsibilities: Customer technical interface during the Proposal and Design concept phase through Manufacturing and On-site Installation. Managed the project budgets, schedules configuration management and cost changes for >$2.5M, Lead weekly program status meetings to monitor cost and schedule.. Primary project was the Boeing 737 Next Generation complete tooling family for the Slats / Flaps / Kruger Flap and Spoilers. Additional tooling projects included Boeing Helicopter PA.

Responsibilities: Managed 15 CATIA Tool Designers and NC Programmers. Provided interface with Engineering design issues and problem solving, facilitated all Critical Design Reviews. Generated Five Axis NC programs and create tool concepts for proposals such as Boeing 777 Nacelle & Strut Tooling, Gulfstream G-V Wing Assembly Tooling, G-IV Slat/Flap Tooling and Lockheed F-16 Tooling. We also Designed and manufactured environmental cubes and checking fixtures for Ford & GM programs.

Generated manufacture plans along with mentoring staff to meet or exceed the customer’s objective to create efficient fixtures with the highest accuracy and repeatability. Some of our projects included Rohr Industries Nacelle Tooling for KC135 & MD80 Bond Jigs, along with Lockheed A12 Tooling. Automotive projects included Environmental Cubes & Checking Fixtures for Ford, GM, Chrysler, Leland DAF, Audi and Saab.
