Employed to head up the company’s new PUR Hot Melt Adhesive Lamination Program. Responsible for the integration of the new lamination line into production, hiring the staff to support this line and installing that policies and procedures need to operate this line. I am also responsible for one of our other lamination lines along with our thermoforming department.I am currently preparing to start a new profile wrapping operation within the company to support a new product line that we have just developed.

Employed specifically as the Application Engineer for the Motorola Iden Project. Promoted after three months to Interim General Manager and challenged to streamline the manufacturing process. Improved the entire decoration process by defining hot stamping foil procedures, training production personnel, and redesigning the foil stamping machine. Researched and purchased brush sander machinery.Highlights Reduced the scrap rate by 10-15% in first three months. Redesigned 4 membrane press machines resulting in a 45% increase in production yields. Initiated the company=s first project managing system that tracked current and upcoming projects.

Rapidly promoted through a series of increasingly responsible engineering and project management positions for this world-class manufacturer of laminate products. Advanced to Automotive Product Manager while retaining responsibility for all previous positions. Automotive Product Manager:Assumed additional responsibility for R&D and manufacturing scheduling. Key point of contact for major car manufacturers. During a one-year labor strike, hired and managed temporary workers, and personally operated machinery.Highlight: Achieved $2 million in sales to the automotive aftermarket and marine industry.Project Manager:As Project Manager for the company’s 3 key product lines (wood, heavy plastics, and automotive laminates), assembled cross-functional product teams from R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales to develop product specifications, resolve production issues, and facilitate new product introductions. Also assisted with ISO 9000 certification process.Highlights: Reduced manufacturing cost of Touch Wrap 4-cents-per-square-foot. Redesigned a roll-to-roll lamination machine, significantly improving operators= ability to control and monitor machine operation.Product Application Engineer/Trade Show Organizer Developed application parameters for newly developed products, and designed new methods for existing products. Personally coordinated domestic and international trade show booths B designed and set up the booths, developed budgets, and selected products for display.
