About Ken Borland

Currently I shoot news stories and features, as well as research pitch, produce, shoot and edit independent stories for CNN. In past positions for commercial, corporate and broadcast productions I attained a great deal of experience in many other areas of television production as well.As a commercial and corporate producer I was responsible for project budgets, hiring, motivating and managing staff and freelance crews and on-camera talent. I have also directed live studio and on-location television and taped promotion videos, served as Lighting Director in studio and on location, and held staff positions where I supervised personnel, operations and maintenance of broadcast studios, film and video editing facilities and field production equipment. I embrace the challenges and troubleshooting that come with each assignment. As a strong proponent of team work and cooperation, I enjoy motivating others and sharing my enthusiasm.
