Since 1988, Kenneth Boroson Architects has provided architectural services to clients throughout Connecticut, specializing in education, health care, historic restoration, urban planning, commercial and residential projects.Kenneth Boroson, AIA, LEED AP, leads the architectural design. The diverse staff includes licensed architects, interns, interior designers, urban planners, CAD technicians, landscape designers, graphic designers, and model crafters, as well as an organizational and marketing department. Our design philosophy focuses on providing architecture and planning that derive from site specific surroundings and client needs. The integration of architecture and planning with publicly directed ornament forms the basis for our urban design methodology. The use of “Public Ornament” marks significant parts of our building design and is utilized to interact with the neighborhood surroundings. Thorough research and development of details support each unique building’s overall design concept. For historic preservation and restoration projects, we embrace the best practiced traditions and modern tested technologies. Mr. Boroson is recognized by the State of Connecticut as an historic architect and has won numerous design awards for his firm’s work in New Haven. Our interiors department focuses on designing efficient, effective and professional workplaces. With more than a million square feet of interior space completed each year, each project integrates an aesthetic thematic approach to solving our client’s functional needs. Over eighty percent of our design work comes from repeat clients.
